Changes to high school schedules for state testing

Battle Ground and Prairie high school schedules on April 29 and 30 and May 21 and 22 to accommodate required state testing that students must pass in order to graduate. The key things for all families to note are:

  • Students who are testing (all 10th graders and some 11th and 12th graders) need to be at school on time and ready to go at 7:50 a.m (8:50 a.m. on May 22). Students must bring wired headphones or earbuds for testing. No cell phones or smart watches will be permitted in testing rooms.
  • Students who are not testing do not have to be at school until 10 a.m. on test days.
  • Buses will run at the regular time on these days. If non-testing students ride the bus to school, they will have supervised study time or alternative activities in specific areas of campus.

Other Program Notes

  • Zero Period will begin at its regular 7 a.m. start time on these days. Students will be supervised after Zero period until school begins, or parents can sign a permission slip allowing their student to leave and return to school. Please ask your Zero period teacher for the permission slip.
  • CASEE students will be bussed to CASEE on their assigned days (Periods 1-3 or 4-6). Students will attend CASEE for one period, be bussed back to their home high school for lunch, and then return to CASEE to complete the day before being bussed back to their home high school.
  • Cascadia Technical Academy buses will run on their regular schedule.
